Freeview website roll-back EPG

March 28, 2013

Freeview has re-launched its website and has introduced links to catch-up TV services provided by the main broadcasters.   Visitors to the site will now be able to scroll backwards through the online programme guide and click straight through to catch up content on BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand Five.

Adrian Mack, New Media Manager at Freeview comments: “Our TV guide is hugely popular and this update makes the user journey simpler and easy to navigate. Visitors will now have easy access to catch up content via our new TV guide, instead of having to visit multiple websites and all without the need for a subscription.”

Other changes to the website include:
– Personalised TV Guide of users’ pre-selected favourite channels
– Shortlists of key products based on customer reviews from Reevoo
– An enhanced features page

There are also plans to add richer pages for all channels in the coming weeks. This will incorporate live streaming and catch up links as well as the latest programme trailers.

The Freeview website currently receives 350,000 monthly unique users and over 600,000 users per month, in total.
