In a surprising move given ongoing legal challenges between the respective services, FilmOn.TV founder and CEO Alki David – the billionaire media entrepreneur – has congratulated the legal team at Internet TV streaming service Aereo on what he describes as its “hugely significant” win in court against the Major Networks.

“I would like to thank Aereo and their legal team for supporting our common cause by filing their own amicus brief in support of FilmOn in the 9th Circuit appeals Court where FilmOn continues its legal fight against old media’s anti-competitive tactics and in favour of consumer rights in new media,” said David., who added that in light of the appeals court ruling, he was even more confident that FilmOn’s 9th Circuit appeal would also be successful. “Soon we will be able to add the four major Networks back to our line-up in the 9th circuit, giving us total coverage of the US Television markets,” he claimed.

FilmOn.TV’s free TV service, which has been advertising heavily on television in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Nevada and California, has announced its new antenna farm site which opened in Boston MA which offers local ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX affiliates.

The FilmOn.TV free antenna farm services are now available in New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Washington and Boston, enabling users in 35 markets to watch live local TV on mobiles, tablets, PCs and connected devices.
