ORS chose Neotion

ORS has selected Neotion as technical partner for the launch of its new nationwide terrestrial TV service, called simpliTV. The simpliTV bouquet is based on DVB-T2 standard and Irdeto Media Protection.

Austria already completed the analogue switch off in 2011 and ORS is moving forward to the next level by launching the first DVB-T2 service in Austria. The goal is to improve capacity for HD and to enhance the attraction of pay TV content for end-users.

simpliTV package will be more than attractive with a selection of 40 TV channels, of which a third will be available in high definition. It includes FTA channels from public broadcaster ORF along with the following programs from private broadcasters RTL and ProSiebenSat.1.

With the simpliTV package TV-consumers can watch this TV-programs: ORF eins HD, ORF 2 HD, Servus TV HD, Sat.1 HD, RTL HD, Pro7 HD, VOX HD, ARD HD und ZDF HD sowie ATV, kabel eins, RTL II, BR, SUPER RTL, arte, sixx, Eurosport, n-tv, zdf-neo, DMAX, Phoenix, Sport 1, KiKA, nickelodeon, Comedy Central, 4 – Das Vierte, RTL NITRO, CNN, Deluxe Music, BR alpha und Playboy TV and some more like ATV, PULS 4, Servus TV, ORF III, ORF SPORT+, 3sat, ATV 2, gotv, Schau TV, tirol tv, Ländle TV, LT1, which Austrian can watch in some regions of the country.

The service will be launched on 15th April 2013 on a subscription basis with a €10 monthly fee.

Our new product simpliTV is the new TV-infrastructure next to cable TV and satellite TV. simpliTV has many benefits for TV-consumers: first of all consumer can see a large TV-program-selection in perfect viewing-quality for less money. For consuming simpliTV clients need to use a simpliTV module (CI+ module) or a simpliTV receiver. We still rely on Neotion Irdeto. “
