Entone continues expansion with win at Moldtelecom

Entone, a provider of Hybrid TV and Connected Home solutions, has announced that Moldtelecom, the primary telecommunications provider in Moldova, is deploying its Kamai 500 Hybrid Media Player to deliver advanced video services.
Moldtelecom provides a full range of next-generation TV, high-speed broadband and telephony services to Moldova, a nation of 3.6 million people. As part of its IPTV service expansion, Moldtelecom now offers advanced TV services such as network digital video recorder (nDVR), pause and restart of live TV programs (PLTV), and Catch-up TV.

The Kamai 500 series provides a powerful and flexible platform for decoding popular video formats, including MPEG-4 (AVC/H.264), MPEG-2 and VC-1, as well as advanced audio formats and transcoding capabilities. To further aid service providers, the Kamai 500 series offers enhanced features such as carrier grade 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Adaptive Bit-Rate (ABR) streaming to help reduce installation time, cost and complexity.
