Kent stepping aside at Turner

July 18, 2013

By Chris Forrester

Phil Kent, Turner Broadcasting’s CEO, will step aside from his position next January. He will be replaced by Time Warner’s current CFO John Martin.

Kent, well-known in London and internationally from his time running Turner’s London office, will remain Chairman of TBS for a period in 2014.

In a memo to staff, Kent said he had been mulling the decision for some time. He had been at TBS’ helm for some 11 years, and prior to that was a regular commuter between London and Atlanta. He has worked with Turner since 1993 except for a short gap in 2002.
