Berkett joins Bank of Queensland

Bank of Queensland has appointed Neil Berkett, the former CEO of Virgin Media UK, to its board.
In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, the bank said Berkett is the Virgin Group’s nominee to its board following the acquisition of Virgin Money Australia.
He has previously worked at St George Bank, Citibank and Lloyds TSB and is an associate chartered accountant (NZ).
BOQ chairman Roger Davis said Berkett’s “understanding of Virgin’s entrepreneurial culture will be a valuable addition to the board”.
