Turkey’s DTH giant Digiturk is to develop a service for Azerbaijan, according to local reports. Digiturk is working with Azerbaijani businessman Mevlut Issever, opening a series of retail premises and to raise its potential distribution to the whole nation. The launch ceremony took place last week.

Key to Digiturk’s offering is access to its sports coverage, not least the Turkish Super League football games.

Digiturk itself is in the process of seeing a 53 per cent of itself being sold, and a number of international bidders are said to have expressed an interest in buying the stake.
