October 3, 2013

giggs-footballFox Sports and the Barclays Premier League have ordered Dutch service providers to improve their security in order to prevent subscribers from sharing access to the subscription sports channel.

Fox Sports has reportedly contacted satellite broadcaster CanalDigitaal stating that they must use a certified HD receiver or CI+ module in order to deter card-sharing.

M7 Group, the owner of CanalDigitaal, has informed Dutch digital TV service TotaalTV that the Fox Sports channel will only be available through the certified receiver or module henceforth.
