Echostar-owned Slingmedia is deploying its Slingbox-350 models in Brazil. The Sling technology allows users to use the device to shift incoming broadcast content to any other device via WiFi, 3G or 4G connections.
Brazil is the first Latino country to get Slingbox, which can be used by any of the region’s pay-TV operators including Sky Brasil, Net, Oi TV, GVT, Vivo TV, TVA, Claro TV and TV Alphaville TV. In Brazil, the Slingbox 350 will be distributed by Flex and will cost 799 Brazilian Reals (about $343).
