Spain’s state-owned TV RTVE has launched +TVE, an application for tablets and smartphones that allows viewers to edit and share 30 second live TV videos on social networks.
When watching TV, viewers will be able to cut fragments of TV series and entertainment programmes to edit their own 30 seconds TV pieces, make comments and share them on social networks.
The director of TVE, Ignacio Corrales, said: “We have proposed to join TV and social networks to offer them combined to viewers. We want to flood social networks with video”.
In addition, viewers will be able to participate in programmes, quizzes, series, sports events and documentaries on the channels La 1, La 2 and the sports channel Teledeporte at any time during the week. Viewers will be also able to vote for the best player on a football match or their favourite participant on the cooking programme Top Chef.
The app is available for IOS and Android with free of charge download on Apple Store and Google Play.
