Entertainment industry testing and certification specialist BluFocus has entered into an agreement with Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (DECE) to act as the administrator for the UltraViolet Compliance Verification Program (CVP).

DECE is responsible for the design, development and operation of UltraViolet, the digital content ecosystem that allows consumers access to their home entertainment collections. The goal of the CVP is to verify that Licensee Implementations are compliant with key mandatory requirements explicitly defined in the technical specifications and compliance rules. BluFocus’s role will be to manage, test and qualify Licensee’s implementations based upon these sets of documented tests and test procedures

“We are honoured and excited to have this arrangement with the DECE,” said Paulette Pantoja, BluFocus CEO and Founder. “Our company has been supporting home entertainment products and technologies through our testing and certification services for over half a decade. This addition is a natural progression for our company as we continue to help qualify home entertainment products and technologies so users can have a good and consistent experience.”

“BluFocus has been a valued Member of the DECE consortium that designed UltraViolet, as well as a source of testing and QA support for companies implementing UltraViolet,” said Mark Teitell, DECE’s GM. “I look forward to their role in the UltraViolet ecosystem expanding now, to include the key activities of administering the UltraViolet Compliance Verification Program.”
