Video service quality assurance expert Agama Technologies has confirmed that the Belgian IP television specialist Alpha Networks is implementing the Agama DTV Monitoring Solution for its cloud-based TV hosting platform in view of supporting a first, yet undisclosed joint commercial IPTV and multiscreen service deployment.

By integrating Agama’s solution for continuous and real-time monitoring, assurance and analytics of the end-to-end video delivery chain, with the WeManage component of Alpha’s platform, Alpha will have full transparency of the service distribution from the head-end to what is actually experienced by each individual viewer. This will support Alpha in proactively managing service quality and customer satisfaction, whilst lowering OPEX and improving customer retention, in its deployments with operators.

“We are very confident in the selection of Agama as the strategic partner for service quality assurance of our pay-TV solutions and we look forward to developing a long-term partnership together beyond this first joint customer,” says Guillaume Devezeaux, CTO at Alpha Networks.

Mikael Dahlgren, CEO at Agama Technologies, adds: “We are proud to be selected by Alpha Networks to deliver our renowned solution and expertise to support its TV hosting platform with best-in-class service quality monitoring, assurance and analytics. As a trusted service quality assurance partner, we look forward to working with the Alpha team and providing the means for proactive management of both service quality and customer satisfaction.”
