Spain: Vodafone launches FTTH service

Vodafone Spain has officially launched its FTTH service throughout Spain priced between €54 and €90 per month.

The 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload service will be available from April 1st in 800,000 households in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Malaga, Valencia and Zaragoza, subsequently expanding to Cordoba, Alicante, Valladolid, Vigo, Alcorcon, Badalona and Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The operator is offering numerous convergent fibre and mobile bundles, all of which have a 12-month tie-in period. These range from Smart S, which includes 200 minutes of mobile calls and 600 MB of mobile data for €54 per month (including line rental and VAT), to Red XL, which comes with unlimited mobile calls and 4 GB of mobile data for €90 per month. All bundles include 100 Mbps fibre broadband, unlimited fixed line calls and 50 minutes of fixed to mobile calls per month.

The company will be shortly launching its TV service Vodafone Box with premium TV content from the Canal Plus’ OTT service Yomvi, including sports channels Canal + 1, Canal + Liga de Campeones and Cine/Series.
