Tata Elxsi HEVC Ultra HD Decoder compliance with Harmonic encoding technology

In a bid to provide a complete solution for customers deploying HEVC Ultra HD solutions, Tata Elxsi has announced the successful interoperability of their HEVC decoder with streams encoded using Harmonic encoding technology. Tata Elxsi’s licensable Ultra HD HEVC decoders are available on multiple platforms. This includes Intel x86 processors and multicore ARM platforms (Smartphones/tablets) as well as hard semiconductor IPs. Tata Elxsi has been one of the early implementers of the HEVC backed with 15+ years of video technology experience across various industry verticals ranging from broadcast, unified conferencing, consumer electronics and automotive infotainment.

This pre-confirmed interoperability between the various IP/products of both companies helps to drastically slash down the time for customers looking to adopt HEVC. The availability of such a fully tested HEVC solution promises a seamless integration with guaranteed performance on multiple platforms.

Tata Elxsi has recently showcased its technology at the Mobile World Congress 2014, Barcelona, Spain and plans to showcase newer versions of the HEVC solution in upcoming trade shows such as NAB, NCTA Cable Show and IBC.
