MTG appoints Hakim for emerging markets

Modern Times Group (MTG), the international entertainment group, has announced that Rotem Hakim will join Viasat Broadcasting’s Pay-TV Emerging Markets team as Director of Business Development on May 26th.
In his new role, Rotem will focus on expanding the geographical footprint of MTG’s pay-TV channels and increase their digital presence. He will also look at M&A and partnership opportunities, and support the Pay-TV Emerging Markets’ central and local management.
Rotem joins MTG from Liberty Global where he has spent the last ten years, most recently as Programming Director working with V0D and linear pay-TV channels, as well as gaming and music. He also held the position of Head of Business Development for Chello On Demand, part of Liberty Global’s former content division Chellomedia. Previously Rotem worked at the technology companies Emblaze Systems, IBM and the telecoms company Barak I.T.C.
