Canis Media appoints new CEO

May 8, 2014

Canis Media, the UK broadcast management company, has appointed Clare Bramley as the new Chief Executive.

Clare Bramley, formerly General Manager of Canis Media, was given the new role after a board resolution.

Bramley started her television career in international newsgathering for ABC News before becoming Operations Manager at TVam. Following her tenure as Managing Director of Prime Television, she spent two years as Director of International Marketing for the oil, gas and telecommunications group Williams Vyvx, Tulsa, before joining BT as Head of Media Industry Marketing where she conceived and co-founded the hugely successful interactive telephony division, BT Agilemedia.

As an award-winning TV producer and former COO of Vintage TV, Fitness TV, Horse & Country TV, and SA Direct TV for the Mandela family, Bramley offers unparalleled operational, commercial and management expertise – particularly to broadcast TV start up channels.

Previous to her role at Canis Media, Bramley was Chief Operating Officer for Comux UK where she was responsible for the non-technical requirements of the existing and future local TV licensees and delivering the marketing and communications strategy to meet the business objectives of Comux.

Bramley said: “I have worked closely with Canis Media for almost ten years, as a client, launching a number of TV channels. I know how much professionalism and expertise they bring to this sector, particularly in start-ups. Canis managment backed my proposal to apply for the local TV multiplex license – which we won in 2013 – now known as Comux. I am thrilled to now be heading up the company and look forward to continuing to growing Canis Media’s national and international client base.”
