YouView launches tech talent search

On demand TV service YouView has announced a major recruitment drive that will expand its technology team by over 50 per cent.

In the next 12 months, YouView aims to more than 50 of the best developers, test engineers and project managers to its workforce in roles that will spearhead the next stages of pioneering connected TV development.

With guaranteed funding for the next five years from all seven shareholders, which include the BBC ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, BT, TalkTalk and Arqiva, the company is looking to the future and ensuring it remains at the cutting-edge of television technology.

The new recruits will work with technology including IP-delivered video, HTML5 and cloud-based services across a wide range of devices, in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of the UK TV industry.
