Italian DTT operator Tivuitalia for sale

Screen Service Broadcasting Technology is selling its subsidiary Tivuitalia, which is in preventive administration. Tivuitalia is a DTT multiplex operator and its network consists of around 170 transmitters covering 73 per cent of the Italian population. The mux currently airs four free-to-air TV channels (Planeta TV, Mediatext.it, Italia Channel and Teletevere).

The Tivuitalia package also includes repeaters and links, as well as permits, certifications, licenses and rights of use issued by Italy’s Ministry of Development

According to the consolidated results to 30 September 2013, Screen Service reported revenues of €20.1 million (compared to €46.6 million a year earlier), while losses amounted to €47.7 million (€17.9 million on 30 September 2012).
