Scolari and Neymar reflect on Brazil's Confederations Cup victory - videoAccording to a poll from media monitoring and marketing agency Kantar Sport, pay-tv channel beIN Sports has recruited almost 864,00 new subs within the last 15 days.

With 1.7 million subscribers before the World Cup, Qatar’s beIN Sports could now have reached 2.6 million.

These forecasts, which coincide with the beginning of the tournament, are yet to be confirmed by the channel itself, and many viewers may have subscribed for one month only (the duration of the World Cup).

beIN Sports, which is the only channel in France to broadcast all 64 matches of the World Cup, does not plan to release any official figures for now, it told Advanced Television.

Analysts estimate it needs around 4.5 million subs to become profitable. beIN Sports has already passed one million viewers for the most recent French team matches.
