BT TV deploys StormTest

Techonlogy company S3 Group, has announced that BT has significantly scaled up its deployment of StormTest Development Center, and made S3 Group its preferred supplier for test automation and monitoring.
S3 Group’s video test automation platform, StormTest, provides BT with advanced, end-to-end service validation capabilities that encompass CPE, headend, and Business and Operations Support Systems (B/OSS). It is used by BT’s Design, Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams for component, system, and end-to-end tests. As the roll-out of new video services and features becomes more complex and time consuming, StormTest Development Center improves BT’s test coverage, and reduces the time required for testing from months to weeks – reducing the product test cycle by up to 50 per cent.
“StormTest Development Center allows us to validate the end-to-end customer experience, rigorously testing services prior to deployment, and ensuring they meet the highest quality standards when in production,” said Greg McCall, Chief Operating Officer for television and content at BT. “Notably, it enables us to efficiently and reliably deliver rapid innovation, while improving the quality and stability of BT’s video services.”
