Pay-channels for Rabbit TV

October 17, 2014

FreeCast has embraced a la carte programming and begun offering premium pay-channels through its Rabbit TV Plus. This comes on the heels of HBO’s announcement that it will be offering a standalone version of its online TV service HBO GO.

Rabbit TV will now include offerings from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, WWE and tennis, news channels such as Glenn Beck’s ‘The Blaze’, as well as premium live television channels from China, India, Pakistan, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, the Middle East, and more.

CEO William Mobley said “With HBO GO, and whispers of ESPN eventually going effectively a la carte via the web, it really opens the floodgates for the other networks to do the same. Netflix will never be a replacement for cable – it’s really just another channel among many. Rabbit TV Plus is already offering premium channels, in addition to hundreds of thousands of free movies, TV shows, and radio stations. HBO and live sports really complete the circle for a lot of people, allowing them to leave traditional cable behind. We’re excited about the possibility of giving our 3 million plus subscribers the opportunity to experience them all with Rabbit TV Plus.”
