KnowHow Movies, the UK OTT entertainment service launched in March 2012 by Dixons Retail, is re-launching as CinemaNow, which it says means access to an even greater digital entertainment experience with a subscriber’s favourite films and TV shows.

In an e-mail to subscribers, the service says that users will be seamlessly transported to its new website, uk.cinemanow.com, with their library “safely in tow”. A range of “great new features” is promised, including:

  • Great new, easy-browse website adapting to the device used

  • Ability to search by everything from title, actor and year to Rotten Tomatoes score

  • Silverlight technology for HD streaming

  • UltraViolet (UV) compatibility

  • Early digital releases

  • Pre-order functionality

  • Season pass for ‘next day TV’

  • New playback platforms – phones, tablets, media streamers and gaming consoles
