Train operator East Coast is the first brand in the UK to embed live data into its advertising on ITV’s VoD service, ITV Player.
The ITV Player now features advertising for East Coast which take a live feed in real time from the train operator’s fares system and incorporates this into the customised advert allowing audiences to take advantage of great value fares.
The advertisements, which are initially being shown to audiences in London, show the best value East Coast fares for travel on a specified date from London King’s Cross to destinations such as Newcastle and York.
East Coast Leisure Marketing Manager George Shuttlewood said: “We’re always keen to take advantage of innovations in the marketplace, and have been using our API feed in our digital display ads for over two years now, so this was a natural next step. We know our customers are always looking for great deals, so by doing this we can highlight when our cheapest fares are available.
