Net Insight & ScheduALL Symposium in 6 locations: Self-Provisioning Power

January 20, 2015

Net Insight, a provider of efficient and scalable transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks and ScheduALL, a global player in Enterprise Resource Management software for Media, Broadcast and Transmission, will take to the road in North America and Europe to jointly present a series of symposia demonstrating the power of automated self-provisioning in booking transmission feeds. These sessions will explore how network operators and broadcasters can benefit by introducing an automated self-provisioning solution that minimizes operational costs, as well as cutting time spent on service management and network operations while offering a higher quality of service (QoS).

Handling increasing media traffic is a huge challenge for media operators. As the industry transitions to dynamic production workflows this bar is raised even higher, with expectations that media content should be readily available whenever and wherever it is needed. This is changing the requirements of networks in a way that significantly increases complexity. This, coupled with broadcasters’ needs for faster deployment and dynamic activation of new services, is driving demand for improved end-to-end manageability, which:

– Simplifies workflows for occasional use video
– Preserves high-end media services
-Offers full-control of transmission costs in real time
– Operates network capacities with greater efficiency
– Radically cuts operating expenses (opex)

The symposia, which take place in Washington D.C, New York City and Toronto on January 27, 28 and 29 respectively and London, Frankfurt and Rome on February 9, 11 and 12 respectively, will address this new demand, highlighting how it is changing the way media services are delivered, how broadcasters consume them, and the significance to the industry of straightforward service provisioning, service management and fault handling, in light of these shifts.

“ScheduALL has revolutionised the occasional use (OU) booking process, by offering a seamless integration of each step of transmission feed booking. Our collaboration with the leading transmission booking solution provider means that network operators and broadcasters now have the ability to eliminate the need for tedious emails and phone calls as well as prevent conflicts, miscommunication and duplicated efforts, in booking transmission feeds,” says Thomas Wahlund, head of business segments at Net Insight. “All of this translates into operational efficiency, cost saving and enhanced profitability on both sides of the buying/selling relationship.”

Joel Nirenberg, vice president of strategic solutions at ScheduALL says, “These symposia will provide an opportunity for us and Net Insight to demonstrate the power and flexibility of our joint solution. Network providers and broadcasters will get the chance to truly understand how beneficial customer self-provisioned services can be, and see a live demonstration the integrated solution offered by Net Insight and ScheduALL. We’ll present real world examples of how the solution has already helped media operators and service providers deliver positive results and positively affect their bottom-lines.”
