TF1 signs Monterosa’s LViS for interactivity

January 22, 2015

Monterosa the second screen specialist has signed an annual agreement with MYTF1, the digital platform of the French broadcaster TF1 which sees France’s largest commercial broadcaster adopt its LViS platform for live interactivity with entertainment and sports shows.

Starting in January 2015, LViS will first be used on the national IQ test format QI : La France passe le test (January 23th 2015), feeding audience performance and demographic data back into live TV graphics while providing sponsorship and advertising activation on the second screen.

TF1’s viewers are already familiar with the MYTF1 app, which has over 10 million downloads. This engaged audience will be able to answer every question in the 65 question IQ test in sync with the show. Between questions, players also provide demographic information about themselves – age, gender, region, as well as topical questions such as “Do you eat fish regularly?”. With this data, cross-referenced to IQ, the show will reveal live data “stories” which bring to life the nation’s response to the test.

Tom McDonnell, CEO at Monterosa said: “It’s a privilege to work with a broadcaster so committed to evolving its audience and advertiser proposition. LViS is made for scale and to provide efficient deployment of fun, social audience experiences, so of course it’s a round endorsement for us that MYTF1 selected the platform and our creative team and to work on such big national events”.
