ITV will show highlights of all of England’s games in the cricket World Cup which begins next month. Games including the fixture against Scotland will be shown on ITV1 as well as the semi-final and final – but only if England make it that far. Other games will be shown on sister channel ITV4.

Live coverage of the tournament, which will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand, will be broadcast on Sky Sports, which is rebranding its Sky Sports 2 channel as Sky Sports World Cup for its duration between 14 February and 29 March.

The ITV highlights will be shown at 10pm each night and last between 60 and 90 minutes, according to an Ofcom consultation document published on Tuesday.

Channel 5 has had England highlights in recent years, ITV has recently shown highlights of the Indian Premier League.
