French private broadcaster M6 posted a net profit for 2014 up 9.9 per cent at €123 million compared to €112.1 million 2013, showing good resistance in a difficult market environment.

Consolidated revenues increased by 0.4 per cent on the previous year to €1,257.9 million, despite a 1.5 per cent drop in the Group’s advertising revenues to 796.9 million. The free and pay-TV division revenues were significantly hit by the 1.7 per cent ad decrease of FTA channels to €750.1 million, leading M6 to reduce the programming costs. Non-advertising revenues recorded a 3.7 per cent growth owing to distance selling activities, production and audiovisual rights.

M6 Group’s EBITA totalled €207.5 million, down 1.7 per cent compared to 2013.
