MyTF1VOD launches Afrostream VoD

February 23, 2015

From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris

On-demand platform MyTF1VOD will launch a new VoD service branded Afrostream on March 6th – dedicated to the African movie industry.

TF1 has formed a partnership with start-up Afrostream, which owns the largest library in Europe of African productions, to deliver a paid access to new African, Afro-American and Carribbean movies. Films will be provided in HD, in original version or dubbed in French when necessary.

The library will offer classic movies such as 12 Years A Slave, Dreamgirls and Ray with additional titles rapidly available following their first theatrical release in their countries.

In May 2015 Afrostream will launch its own SVoD African movies and content platform. Its library targets all the family and includes animated productions, concerts and documentaries. This new service will be available on all connected devices in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxemburg and Africa.
