Discovery HD reaches 38m in LatAm

Discovery Communications registered during close to 40 per cent growth on the distribution of its HD portfolio in Latin America during 2014
The company reported that their HD networks now reach over 38 million subscribers in the region. Discovery launched its first HD channel in Latin America in 2009, and today that number amounts to seven, Discovery Channel HD, Discovery Kids HD, Discovery Home & Health HD, Investigation Discovery HD, Discovery Turbo HD, TLC HD and Discovery HD Theater. These latter two will undergo a rebranding later this month..
Discovery also offers nine standard definition channels (Discovery, Discovery Kids, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, TLC, Discovery Home & Health, Discovery Civilization, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo), reaching over 334 million subscribers in Latin America.
