RR Media expands 4K capabilities

RR Media, a provider of global digital media services to the broadcast industry, has announced the expansion of its 4K capabilities across the entire content lifecycle, from creation through to consumption. This includes the preparation and creation of content and mastering true delivery in an optimised manner.
Continuing to support rights holders monetise their content, RR Media has installed a full 4K workflow for scanning original film elements through a 4K projection suite for viewing and grading supported by DaVinci’s Resolve system.
In addition to its content preparation and management capabilities in 4K, RR Media distributes channels in 4K with a wide variety of content, including France TV and the Explorer Network via RR Media’s smart global network, using optimised delivery over satellite and fiber. These channels are delivered to direct-to-home platforms across Europe to millions of viewers.
