Intelsat, ScheduALL partner for occasional use

April 14, 2015

Intelsat, a global provider of satellite services, and ScheduALL, a provider of Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) solutions for media, broadcast and transmission businesses, have announced the successful implementation and launch of ScheduALL Connector, which enables Intelsat customers to easily and efficiently manage their occasional use (OU) capacity needs.

Utilising the ScheduALL Connector interface, Intelsat’s strategic sales partners (SSPs) and media customers that use ScheduALL to manage their own assets can easily view Intelsat’s available capacity, quickly match it to their needs and reserve it directly from within their own system. The automated interface enables media customers to manage bandwidth more effectively to quickly adapt and meet their changing capacity needs during peak and off-peak cycles in demand. In addition, it improves operational efficiency by reducing the need to manually transfer data between different systems, as well as to reconcile booking and billing records.

“As part of improving and automating our booking and scheduling process for OU services, ScheduALL Connector offers our strategic sales partners and customers an option to link directly with Intelsat’s ScheduALL system to access real-time Intelsat capacity,” said Peter Ostapiuk, Head of Media Services, Intelsat. “This provides media customers the unique ability to directly locate and select the resources best suited for their needs. This is especially important during times when there is a huge peak in demand and additional capacity is needed. Together, ScheduALL and Intelsat’s global hybrid satellite network will help media customers meet fluctuating demands and continue to provide the high-quality, reliable content that their viewers demand.”

ScheduALL Connector will help Intelsat’s media customers effectively manage their capacity during fast-breaking news events when finding available capacity quickly is essential to transmitting live coverage to global audiences. In addition, it will help customers better manage bandwidth fluctuation during mission-critical disaster relief activities and major sports and entertainment events.

“By utilising Intelsat services via ScheduALL Connector, we’ve streamlined our workflow and increased resource utilisation, ultimately resulting in increased profitability,” said Christine Ehrenbard, Director, Broadcast Development, CBS. “We’re able to easily reconcile services and focus on growing other aspects of our business.”
