ATEME’s TITAN solution powers UHD-HDR eco-system

ATEME has announced that its TITAN transcoding solution with HDR support is powering the industry-leading UHD-HDR eco-system from Samsung Electronics that utilises the Samsung SUHD TV product line.
Engineering teams and colourists from leading Hollywood studios have worked with Samsung and ATEME over the last 12 months on fine tuning the display of Samsung’s new flagship television line.

TITAN is a high video quality, high density software compression solution, designed for Cable, DTH, and OTT applications, with support for all required CODECs and resolutions, from sub-SD to Ultra HD. TITAN is a true hardware agnostic virtualized software based solution, running on any OS: Linux, Windows and Virtual Machines. TITAN is based on ATEME’s 5th Generation STREAM compression engine, and delivers the highest video quality at minimum bitrates, with accelerated parallel processing.
