Exset, a pioneer of TV ecosystems for enhanced digital TV services, has partnered with Istanbul-based Atmaca Electronik , owners of the ‘Sunny’ brand in Turkey. The partnership is designed to deploy Exset’s DMS 2.0 in the country as it moves along the path towards digitisation.
Exset’s DMS allows operators to provide value-added services via broadcast networks in emerging markets. This means operators no longer have to depend exclusively on subscriber fees for revenue, opening up new sectors while driving up ARPU. Atmaca Elektronik manufactures IDTVs and DTH STBs for the Turkish market with strong presence across the country.
Andrew Pons, Global Director of Sales and Marketing with Exset, said, “Turkey is now pushing further along the path to digitisation but there’s a clear need to keep subscription fees to an absolute minimum for significant parts of the population. This ARPU challenge for operators can only be resolved by using low-cost but innovative technology that provides additional revenue options.”
