Pay-TV operator Sky Italia and Italian broadband provider Fastweb have expanded their existing partnership to enable subscribers of Fastweb’s Joy or Superjet packages to access content from Sky Online.

Additionally, new Fastweb customers can purchase, with an exclusive €20 discount (for €19.99), the new Sky Online TV Box, which fits in the palm of a hand.

Sky Online provides access to the latest TV series, shows, movies and children’s programmes, live and on demand. It is also possible to purchase major sports events broadcast live by Sky, such as the Italian Serie A and Serie B, UEFA Europa League, MotoGP and Formula 1 races, in addition to the major tennis, golf and rugby tournaments.

The video streaming service is available on PCs, tablets, smart TVs and game consoles, and, thanks to the Sky TV Online Box, also on home TV sets.

Fastweb’s new Joy package is in promotion for six months at €19/month (from then €30/month), offering 100 Mbps internet and Sky Online’s Streaming or Entertainment channels included for six months. Superjet is offered promotionally for €29/month for 12 months (from then €45/month), with unlimited internet and calls to all national numbers, plus 18 months of Sky Online’s Entertainment channels included.

Separately, Telecom Italia is close to reaching an agreement with Mediaset to offer the broadcaster’s pay-TV content to its customer base. According to local daily Il Sole 24 Ore, the deal is imminent. Telecom Italia recently signed content agreements with Sky Italia and Netflix.
