September 15, 2015

Broadcast specialist Vision247 has announced the addition of multiscreen functionality in the form of VisionTV – an online service streaming Vision247’s Freeview channel.

VisionTV streams more than 20 free-to-air channels, allowing viewers to watch a wide variety of both UK and international programmes covering entertainment, sport, news, religion and shopping. The service is also accessible through the Freeview EPG on channel 244.

Previously this service was only available via Freeview in the UK. Now all 20+ VisionTV channels will be aired and available on any desktop, smartphone or tablet. Users simply need to connect to Wi-Fi or their network operator’s data to enjoy the free channels.

VisionTV offers a number of international news channels such as CCTV News and BON TV that cover news, culture and lifestyle in China. TV/C News focuses on news, issues and entertainment from across the African continent; Ben TV caters for family viewing while Hellenic provides music, culture and entertainment programming for the Greek community. Sports fans can get their fix watching hot live debate show Sports Tonight. A variety of programmes centred on religion are also featured on VisionTV.

Tanya Vidmar, Vision247 said “We introduced streaming of VisionTV so that our customers can watch it no matter where they are or what device they are using. TV viewing is becoming more and more portable and it is extremely important to us that our customers can remain connected on the move and that our Freeview services are as flexible and available as possible.”
