Telefónica leads optic fibre in Europe

Telefónica leads the optic fibre market in Europe with 14.3 million homes passed in Spain, the largest broadband network in Europe.
With the new president, José María Alvarez-Pallete (following the resignation of Cesar Alierta), the company plans to strengthen its position in the market covering the whole country with its network.
Internationally, Telefónica has passed 31 million homes with an investment last year of over €9.5 billion towards the expansion of its network, representing 16.9 per cent of its total revenues in 2015.
