Hallen appointed new CEO at Vizrt

Vizrt, a provider of story production tools for the digital media industry, has announced that Michael Hallen has been appointed as the new CEO, effective August 1st 2016. Hallen will be based in the Vizrt Global Headquarters in Bergen, Norway.
Hallen most recently comes from Qmatic Group, a Swedish software and hardware company in the Customer Experience Management space where he was the CEO. Prior experiences include the CEO position at Boss Media (Gaming Entertainment Software) and the CEO position at IFS (ERP software). Furthermore Hallen has held several non-executive directorships in various tech companies and currently he holds two board positions, Fingerprint Cards and Paxport.

Hallen replaces former Vizrt CEO, Martin Burkhalter, who recently retired after heading the company for six years. Dr. François Laborie, COO, remains as Acting CEO until August 1st 2016.
