Spain: Wuaki.TV reports 2.5m users

Spanish TVoD service Wuaki.tv now has 2.5 million registered users in the country – an increase of 500,000 over the last 6 months.
Smart TVs are still the preferred device for Wuaki.tv users, receiving 51 per cent of all requested videos, followed by tablets with 14 per cent, smartphones with 12 per cent and desktop computers with 10 per cent.
Jacinto Roca, founder and CEO of Wuaki.tv, commented: “We are in the momentum of VoD in Spain and this is reflected in the growth of our user base. The fact that major international streaming services want to come to our country is an example of this and, for us, is also an additional motivation to remain the benchmark for this sector.”
