Humax updates FVP-4000T Freeview Play HD PVR

July 13, 2016

Humax, a provider of digital set-top boxes, has introduced a number of enhancements to the user experience of its FVP-4000T Freeview Play HD PVRs through a new IP update.

Humax says a redesign of th homepage interface brings a more intuitive and user-friendly layout, delivering a better browsing performance when selecting recordings. Several improvements have also been made to the EPG, with seven instead of five channels being displayed on the page.  In addition, the full title of the programme being selected is now located clearly at the bottom of the screen, therefore boosting browsing speed and performance. The opportunity to record an entire series without entering detailed information is also possible.   Increasing the stability of the WiFi connection, the update now ensures that it is restored quickly and automatically should the broadband link become disconnected for any reason. This results in minimum interruption of the overall viewing experience.

Graham North, commercial director at Humax, said, “Following feedback from our customers, we have introduced significant improvements to the UI and EPG, to enable a smoother, more intuitive user experience for owners of our extremely popular digital recorder. We’re certain that these new features and modifications will make the Humax FVP-4000T the most desirable PVRs on the market today.”
