Nordic and Baltic users of video on demand service SF Anytime can enjoy securer streaming and greater Hollywood content through deployment of Axinom digital rights management with Unified Streaming software.

The elegant integration of Axinom DRM into the Unified Streaming software not only equips SF Anytime with Hollywood-grade rights protection, but also makes streaming robust, efficient and cost-effective for viewers across Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Baltics.

DRM deployment on the Unified Streaming platform already has two successful years on record using Microsoft’s PlayReady and Google’s Widevine. By adding Apple’s FairPlay Streaming to the mix, SF Anytime is now broadening the scope of multi-DRM service provision.

The transition has proven smooth, permitting seamless support of clients’ native DRM technology. This means content can be played back on any type of digital device and as pure browser-based protected content. Providers therefore have the freedom to create native apps or take a web-based cross-platform approach.

SF Anytime has offered its premium TVOD service since 2002. SF Anytime, now a part of SF Studios – one of the Nordic region’s leading film companies headquartered in Stockholm – launched SF Kids in February 2016, an SVOD service for young viewers. Superior performance and optimum user experience remain top priorities for SF Studios, which is part of Bonnier, the global multimedia group established over two centuries ago.
