Sony DADC New Media Solutions launches Ven.ue Unlimited

August 30, 2016

Sony DADC New Media Solutions has announced a new service offering, Ven.ue Unlimited, a managed cloud-based distribution service, providing access to all content, in any current format and configuration. Ven.ue Unlimited is designed to provide broadcasters, aggregators, and retailers the means to immediately capitalize on over one million hours of premium licensable content spanning hundreds of content owners through a centralized cloud repository.

Ven.ue Unlimited is the first-of-its-kind solution that creates a low monthly flat rate combined with attractive discounted CDN pricing that requires no bandwidth commitments.  This service provides companies with all the assets their platforms require: video, audio, artwork, text and metadata.

Built on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud, a collaboration announced earlier this year, Ven.ue Unlimited provides a predictable, scalable, and flexible approach to more quickly and efficiently deliver media services to audiences.  The Ven.ue service also significantly reduces security exposure by ensuring the lowest number of possible touchpoints of valuable assets.

“Access to our premium content in its highest quality as fast as possible is a key commitment to our customers,” said Man Jit Singh, President of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.  “Ven.ue Unlimited provides the affordability, flexibility and security that makes that commitment a reality. We expect that this method of distribution will provide significant benefits to our customers, allowing them to expand their consumer offerings.”

“Ven.ue Unlimited is customizable so it can meet any specification required.  While industry standards are constantly being adopted and abandoned, we don’t force any of our customers to adhere to any, so they don’t need to make costly changes to their existing workflows,” said Scott Hamilton, President of Sony DADC New Media Solutions. “We designed Ven.ue Unlimited to reduce total cost of ownership and time to market as well as enable our customers to rapidly expand their content catalog.  A good supply chain is critical, but it should not be a barrier that prevents you from acting quickly and aggressively growing your brands with consumers.”
