iPic, Netflix partner on original film releases

US luxury movie-watching brand iPic Entertainment and Netflix are partnering to release select original Netflix films at iPic Theatres. The partnership is set to launch on October 7th with the war thriller, The Siege of Jadotville starring Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey, The Fall) and Guillaume Canet (Joyeux Noël, Love Me If You Dare) opening at iPic Theatres Los Angeles and will stream day and date on Netflix, everywhere the service is available.

The next film in the partnership follows quickly thereafter when the Netflix original film Mascots releases in iPic Theatres Thursday, October 13, with a special event at iPic Fulton Market at Seaport District NYC, the same day the film launches on the service. Mascots, directed by Christopher Guest of famed film Best in Show, reunites the filmmaker with his celebrated cast of comediennes, including: Jane Lynch (Glee), Fred Willard (Anchorman, A Mighty Wind), Parker Posey (Dazed & Confused, Waiting For Guffman), Jennifer Coolidge (Legally Blonde, 2 Broke Girls), Bob Balaban (The Grand Budapest Hotel, For Your Consideration), and Ed Begley, Jr. (Arrested Development, Family Tree) among others.
