November 28, 2016

Video experience specialist Accedo and video app provider Digiflare are to merge, creating what they say will be the world’s leading video experience company.

Accedo was founded in 2004 by Michael Lantz and Fredrik Andersson, and Toronto-based Digiflare was founded in 2008 by David George and Mano Kulasingam. Both companies have grown rapidly to be known globally for delivering outstanding video experiences using innovative solutions and products. Collectively, they have helped build immersive video app experiences for hundreds of companies around the world

“We are excited to join the Accedo team and merge our products, services and expertise,” said Kulasingam, co-CEO, Digiflare. “As video trends continue to evolve, our combined capabilities will create greater value for our customers, delivering dynamic, true-native video apps at the forefront of the TV viewing experience on a global, unprecedented scale.”

“Accedo and Digiflare share the same vision for our industry and a similar entrepreneurial history,” commented Lantz, CEO, Accedo. “I’m truly impressed with the Digiflare team and culture which David and Mano have created over the years. The two companies have highly-complementary products, a strong market position, and an impressive portfolio of customers and partners, who will directly benefit from our combined video experience solution offering.

Lantz will be CEO of the merged company, which will remain under the Accedo brand, while Andersson, David George and Kulasingam will all take on senior leadership positions within the merged organisation.

“Accedo is a truly global company, with an amazing portfolio and track record,” said George, co-CEO, Digiflare. “We are excited about the opportunity to bring our innovative solutions to the global market, along with the Accedo team, which we believe will be a fantastic opportunity for the entire Digiflare team.”
