HBO Europe appoints Salvat

HBO Europe has announced that Miguel Salvat will be appointed Commissioning Editor of Original Programming in Spain. Based in Madrid, he will be responsible for all HBO Europe’s original programming commissioned in Spain.

Salvat started his television career at WBZ-TV Boston, returning to Spain to join Canal+, where he was a producer and part of the team that successfully launched pay-TV in Spain in 1990. After a period as General Manager of the Paramount Comedy Channel he returned to Canal+ as director of content. In 2010 he was appointed director of premium channels for Movistar.

He will take up his position with HBO Europe on January 9th 2017.
