Paris-based satellite operator Eutelsat has appointed a new CFO. Sandrine Téran joins as Group CFO and member of Eutelsat’s executive committee. She will start work on January 9th.
Téran joins from Louis Dreyfus Holdings (based in the Netherlands) and has occupied other key executive positions in the Louis Dreyfus Group during the past eight years, notably Global Head of tax and Corporate Secretary, and subsequently Global CFO of Louis Dreyfus Company.
She replaces Antoine Castarède who joined the company on September 1st 2013. Castarède stays on as an adviser to Eutelsat’s CEO for a short while before “pursuing other interests”.
Castarède replaced Catherine Guillouard who left the company in April 2013.
Three CFO’s in barely 4 years might not be unusual in some businesses, but the satellite industry tends to be somewhat more conservative.
