Barcroft content deals in Canada, China, Africa

Independent factual content production and distribution company Barcroft Media has signed content agreements that will see the company’s short-form content distributed to news audiences in China, Africa and Canada.

The company has announced the launch of Barcroft videos on Weibo, China’s largest social media platform which will see Barcroft Media short form content appear on Weibo for the first time.

Sina Weibo is the leading social media platform in China, with a highly-engaged audience consuming content from major media publishers.

Barcroft Media has announced a content deal with Rumble.com, the Toronto based online video platform. The agreement sees Barcroft content featured on Rumble.com and via Rumble’s video player, which is embedded on third party websites.

The third deal sees an agreement with MobiMedia/RealTime Images who will distribute Barcroft content to local African partners including MTN, Vodafone, Huawei and Safaricom.

“Getting in front of new audiences is a high priority for us and our content has never been in such high demand around the world. We’re naturally delighted to be working with Weibo, Rumble and TeamTalk to bring amazing Barcroft content to China, Africa and Canada,” said Barcroft Media head of Partnerships Victoria Catton.
