Mediaset, owner of Tele 5 and Cuatro among other channels, is the Spanish TV group with the largest Internet video consumption.
In 2016, some 489 million minutes of Internet video were consumed (95 million videos) through Mediaset websites, mainly via telecinco.es, cuatro.com, divinity.es and mitele.es, according to comScore.
That’s almost double the number of minutes viewed via Atresmedia (252 million minutes, 80 million watched videos) and nearly triple Prisa’s performance (137 million minutes).
Monthly, Mediaset registered an average consumption of 3 hours and 48 minutes of video per user.
Telecinco.es is the most popular TV website with 121 million viewed pages and videos per month – 267 per cent more than antena3.com – and 7.6 million unique users per month.
