Michel de Rosen, non-executive chairman of Eutelsat’s board, is stepping down. He joined Eutelsat as chief executive in 2009, and is being replaced by Dominique D’Hinnin.
D’Hinnin was Lagardère Co-managing Partner from 2010 to 2016. He holds advanced degrees from École normale supérieure and is Inspecteur des finances. He joined the Lagardère Group in 1990 as an advisor to Philippe Camus. He was then appointed as the Internal Audit Manager, Hachette Livre Finance Manager in 1993, and, in 1994 EVP at Grolier Inc. (Connecticut, USA). He was Lagardère CFO from 1998 to 2010. He is also a Board Member of PRISA, the Spanish media company.
The changeover will happen on November 8th.
D’Hinnin is already a Eutelsat board member in regard to the Fonds Stratégique de Participations (FSP) shareholder. Upon his appointment as chairman FSP will designate a new Board representative to replace D’Hinnin.
de Rosen, Eutelsat Chairman, commented: “It has been an honour since 2009 to have led and accompanied Eutelsat, an industry-leading enterprise and a reference for commitment, innovation and quality in the global industry of satellite operators. Following the transition with Rodolphe Belmer as CEO, I believe the time is right for me to retire as Chairman after the General Assembly of November 2017, and to pass the baton to Dominique D’Hinnin who is equipped with both the skills and depth of experience to steer the Board towards new development opportunities.”
