Eurosport to serve up Wimbledon in 34 countries

June 22, 2017

More tennis fans in more territories than ever before will be able to watch Wimbledon on Eurosport this summer.

For the first time, Eurosport will show The Championships in as many as 34 countries. Eurosport will have exclusive coverage of the tournament in key markets including Belgium, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Romania, Russia and Sweden.

As well as comprehensive coverage of the tournament on Eurosport linear channels, every match from every available court will be available to watch on Eurosport Player, meaning fans will have access to around 250 hours of live coverage via Eurosport at home or on-the-go from any device.

In a further boost for tennis fans across the continent, Eurosport announced earlier this month that it will show the main Show Court from the qualifying tournament for The Championships, live from Roehampton in all 34 territories the week before the main tournament starts (from June 26th).

Eurosport CEO Peter Hutton said: “Our strategy at Eurosport is to secure premium must-have content, made available to fans on any device. Through our extended agreement with the All England Lawn Tennis Club we now have every Grand Slam available on our platforms in at least 34 territories across Europe – making Eurosport the go-to destination for fans that want to watch the best tennis players in the world perform their craft.”

Eurosport will present The Championships, Wimbledon, exclusively live in Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan; exclusivity except when local players compete in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania; and non-exclusively in Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and United Kingdom (Finals and daily highlights).
