Oregan Networks, a pioneering British technology company which specialises in revenue and brand-enhancing pay TV applications and systems for broadcast and telecoms operators, celebrates 20 years of operations.

Oregan’s CEO Mark Perry commented, “The pay TV industry at large and the IP delivery segment have evolved remarkably over the course of 20 years since Oregan was founded. The growth has been rapid and inevitable, the possibilities boundless and rich. The quality and convenience of user experience has reached unprecedented levels, with the capability to consume content anywhere in the world and on a multitude of screens. Oregan has proudly participated in this digital media convergence, helping brands conceptualise and develop leading video connectivity products for both retail and operator distribution.”

Oregan Networks was founded in 1997, at the dawn of internet television, with an objective to innovate through the transformation of analogue TV broadcasting to IP delivery. It has dedicated its efforts to creating a highly optimised solution for standards based streaming of video over managed and unmanaged networks to secured CPE devices. Today, Oregan’s middleware powers over 6 million devices in consumer’s homes globally.

The company will imminently launch the next generation of its premium video STB client middleware and User Experience, with both Linux and Android TV offerings, focusing on cloud-based features and video delivery performance analytics.

Oregan’s solution is unique in its proven deployment suitability for both the latest next generation hardware and resource-constrained legacy STBs.
